Tuesday 2/6/09 What small dfw things have you done today???

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free;)
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Good morning lovely dfw's,
another lovely sunny day today.
Today's list for me:
Have a lovely day everyone. Hugs to anyone feeling poorly or down - hope you feel better soon.
Big wave to all the regulars
and welcome to any new posters.
Have a lovely day everyone.

Morning all :j
Lovely and sunny again today. I am going to work at home this morning to avoid sitting in my cave oops I mean office and missing all the sun! Must go in to work after lunch though as I have another late night
I am crossing off the days until the end of my contract now, but there still seem to be a lot to go
Today I have / will:
Check online banking (done)
See to animals and plants - pigeons keep eating my young broccoli and kale plants  must ask OH to make up something to protect them! I hate pigeons, there are so many of them!
Make the soup I didn't get around to on Sunday
Help DD2 with her dissertation AGAIN - thank heaven it has to be in tomorrow :j
Work, work and more work
Glad all went well yesterday Milly.
Hugs where needed x

Morning All :hello:
This good weather is a good kick up the backside for me, the sooner our debts are gone, the sooner I can retire/join Popeye/enjoy the sunshine
You're right Babyhead, there are more important things in life, hugs to your OH for his loss and good on you for looking after him
So shamelessly stealing from anywhere on MSE (you're not the only one Fay) I'm now keeping a spending diary, aiming for many many NSD's and head down to the finishing line.
Today I have/will:- had a NSD yesterday, and will only spend 20p at rehearsal tonight.
- 3 loads of washing done yesterday evening (& o'night) at 30 and hung out on line this morning. Even intercepted the lodger taking her ONE pair of trousers :eek: and added my stuff. I know I told her that the water/electricity is automatically reduced for half loads but honestly! :rotfl:
- menu planned supper, & packed lunch :money:
- made banana loaf with lodgers discarded bananas
- will pay her (late) rent into the bank, to repay what I had to take out at the weekend -this is more MS than I ever used to be, that money would have slipped through my fingers previously :rotfl:
- charged phone at work
- water vegetables (I now have peas, broad beans, beetroot, cucumber. melon, garlic, carrots, potatoes and sweetcorn
) and herbs. (And pigeons have really enjoyed my bean plants too  but I've added netting now.)
- scratch'n'click
- keep an eye out for mystery shops - I keep missing them :rotfl:
- done banking and found a cc bill I had missed and paid *just in time* to avoid charges.
