Roman blind - how to fix to UPVC door?

Hi,

I have a UPVC back door which I'd like to fix a roman blind to.

The problem is where/how to fix the wooden baton for the blind.

The door opens inwards so although there is wood above I could secure to, I wouldn't be able to hang the blind then because it would hang down and then the door wouldn't open.

So I need to find a way to attach the roman blind batton to the UPVC door itself. Is the best way to use glue/no nails rather than trying to screw the baton into the plastic - or does anyone have any alternative ideas.

Many thanks in advance.

I think i would try the no nails approach. You really don't want to put screw holes into it. At least it could be scraped off at a later date.

Hi...integral blinds are also an expensive option for a moneysaving site but sometimes folks need to bite the bullet and pay for quality and functionality. We looked into the Ikea option (not up to scratch tbo) but took advice from the BIL (professional draper) and ordered something more appropriate for our situation through him.

    hi travel freak
i work in the blind trade and we just screw into the door using fine threaded screws used by the window trade.
Another option is to buy intu blinds the brackets for these slide into the window beading, there not cheap though.
