Supermarket sandwich bag/clingfilm/foil aisles sell the ones which seal across the top. You have to buy them in packs of about 20 though. Alternatively, some airports give them out free of charge, but you'd have to take a risk on that and maybe end up paying more at the airport if they don't have any free ones.

If you live near a large Primark they sell them with 3 little refill palstic bottles & 3 refill little jars for £1.00.

They are really good, I bought 2 last week in Liverpool.

They do not sell them in the smaller stores though.

They also sell a similar one in Boots but they're £5.00

When we travelled from Gatwick 4 weeks ago, they were providing them free at Security.

I just use any old plastic see through bag - I have never used a sealable one. Since they brought the rules in they have always had some available at Manchester airport anyway - I seem to recall people offering them to you but I already had one. Last year I even used the plastic cover off a magazine! However I only ever have something like a lighter and maybe a mascara as I put just about everything in my hold luggage. No lighter this year either as I am a non smoker!

I have never worked out the logic behind these silly plastic bags, what purpose do they serve?

Purely so that your liquids can be checked as you go through security at airports.

it's an easy container to mix them together and make some noxious fumes?

or is that just the perfume people insist on taking?! ;)

They are picking up on people doing this.
It has to be resealable and 20 x 20cm or less.

    Thanks.

Previously, I used the cheap free bags in Tesco that you put bananas etc in. :A
    Wondering if they're stricter now.
