I have the News Of The World, no sign of it in there. I have been into Halfords today to weigh up the options, and I have an opinion if anyone is interested!

If you are a casual UK user
GO for the Garmin I3, its small, full postcode search and easily transferable

If you drive alot and also into europe
Go for the AA Ultimate, its got everything and comes with 3 years speed camera updates and traffic info

    Price
    Garmin I3 = £129, £30 off
    AA Ultimate = £299, £350 off!

The navman and the quest have alot of negatives and seem a bit too advanced for the casual user, and the no postcode option on the quest is silly

I live in Thetford, Norfolk ( Please dont hold that against me) and the halfords here has plenty of stock of the AA one, none of the other 2

Hope this helps someone, let me know if you would like anymore info and I will do my best to help

Just back from Halford Byfleet (surrey) - I agree with the above - although I'm not sure if the AA one covers Europe , but if you want a Quest - they've got one in stock - the only one in the area.

If you need a waterproof ie for a motorbike unit you cant beat this price - apparently you can submerge this in water.

I tend to agree with the above as well, no postcode search... whats that all about, for a unit with a reasonable spec you'd have thought this would have been included in an upgrade of some sort. Camera database is also not compatable with the Quest...

Pity really...... still not such a bad buy for £150ish!

do any of todays papers print this misprice?
Just go to the hotUKdeals link posted by rowantoad and print it from there (don't forget to rotate it, so the whole advert prints out)
Thanks to all who post constructively.

Just phoned my Halfords, they said the price in the advert is a mistake. You need to bring the advert with you in order to get the price

Not according to the Halfords I spoke to - they said it had just been reduced - the problem is finding one if you really want one - as I said, Byfleet Surrey had one this morning. As Blackrat62 said, this unit is great if you want to use it on a motorbike or away from a car - otherwise it might be worth going for one of the other units, much more user friendly.

Just been and bought the Garmin i3 from Halfords for £129.99

Not too impressed when coming out of the estate I bought it in, it told me to take the second exit off the roundabout, which would have taken me into B&Q! Apart from that though it took me home successfully, using a route I haven't used before. It wasn't too phased by my wife deciding (after we had passed the turning) that she needed to go to the Co-Op for some fags, re-calculating correctly each time and coming up with a new route that worked

It's a great little unit - I must admit, before I bought the I3 I was sceptical - now my wife wont let it out of her car. I'm so taken by it that I want another unit to cover my drive to italy as maps for the i3 are £89 per country. Just don't take it too seriously, the maps cannot be 100% accurate - for example it has tried to take me down blocked roads a few times, an estate which was built 6 years ago near me does not exist and on one accassion it took me to my destination via the M25 and on the return went another way - no I didn't change any settings. On a positive, whilst it might not be 100 % accurate, it's better than nothing when your lost. Enjoy !
