What's the bank's ideal customer?

You may argue that the customer should know better, but there are a lot of intelligent people who are completely baffled by financial products and services. I think the bank at least has a duty to let their customers know how best to use at least their own products.
I understand that some people aren't as financially clued up as others but why would anyone use a credit card for cash advances if they have funds in a current account is beyond me. When you put a credit card in an ATM it will warn you that a charge may apply from your card issuer for making cash withdrawals with this card so it is obvious but if people choose not to take notice of the obvious then I have no sympathy.0
