£40 if you open a abbey current account al you have to do i think is have your wages paid in, and more than 500 a month although.
if one was to become unemployed they could hardley ttake the £40 away from you and they cant complain if you dont pay in more than £500 a month either

i did it in store they have a little blue leaflet about it, to be honest i went to another store and asked them about it and thy didnt have a clue ?? try ringing them up and se what they say or pop into your local branch, i have my isa with them and that might have been a promotional offer for transfering isa and current account.0

It's not £40 for OPENING a new account. It's £40 for transferring your current account from another bank to Abbey. This offer has been going on for ages, though to be honest I'd be surprised if most of the other staff in my branch know anything about it despite the flyers sitting on the counter.0
