Sooooo annoyed, iv just posted and coz it was so long i lost it!!!!
Well i shall start again but not as long me thinks.
Basically i had set my alarm for 6am, but me being me i love my bed so didnt get up until 7.30. Bags of time before my bus at 8:eek:
First challenge was to find bus fare, so digging in pennies pot i retrieved £5 for all day ticket. Managed to get bus and arrived at CAB 30 mins early, so with the extra pennies i brought out with me i decided to go to a cafe for a coffee which was only 90p. I ordered my coffee and got out my purse only to find i had a measley 70p. The lovely lady behind the counter let me off with 20p (there are some lovely people about) and i took myself off to CAB.
The guy there was great, if a bit rushed but he had a funeral to go to after my appointment. He is going to write to all my creditors and offer them all payments of £1 per month until i am more financially stable (which hopefully will be soon)
As i got a day ticket i didnt have to walk home, and the bus was waiting for me when i got to the bus stop :T.
Then once on bus i realised i had forgotten to mention another creditor who i already have an agreement with, so phone CAB and they will get the guy to call back when he returns.
Postie came with letter for OH from old employer stating he was overpaid by almost £500 which is the reason he didnt get any wages this month which takes the amount he owes them to almost £300. Thats another one getting £1 per month!!!!!
So now i have to see how i can make £4 last for 1 week and 3 days when i only have £1.40 left on leccy meter.....any ideas?????Barclays OD -£805.93/limit £800 A & L OD -£350.00/limit £250HFC (laptop) £549.00, Barclays Loan £3033.00, O2 £331 (227.70 left)(defaulted):eek::eek::eek:0 -
Iv just been looking and dont think iv ever mentioned anything about myself so, here we go.......
Iv just turned 32 and im living with my darling OH who has 4 children by his 2 previous partners (no. 1 was his wife) the 2 oldest (with ex-wife) girl 16 and boy 15 and the 2 youngest girl 10 and boy 9, the 2 youngest are with us every 2 weeks (we have them this weekend) we have been together for 1 1/2 years and are happy as pigs in s??? Most of the debt we have is mine as i am rubbish with money and just seem to keep digging a deeper and deeper hole for myself. We got engages over christmas but finances dictate that we cant afford to buy me an engagement ring. Im not too bothered but i think other people are (bizarre) we are currently renting our house from his dad and step mam, who bought this house on the condition that we save up to buy it from them within 2 years, well it will be that next april and we havnt even started saving yet! As you will see by my SOA it just isnt possible. Another one of the conditions was that the first month we dont pay any rent we will have to look for somehere else to live, I have checked and they cant do that. Up till now we have been on time paying but as both me and OH are out of work it just isnt possible this month (£400) and as OH benefits havnt been sorted yet we cant get housing or council tax benefit. So the story begins.......:rolleyes:Barclays OD -£805.93/limit £800 A & L OD -£350.00/limit £250HFC (laptop) £549.00, Barclays Loan £3033.00, O2 £331 (227.70 left)(defaulted):eek::eek::eek:0 -

Just popped over from the Sun Addict's diary to say hi! Have posted some healthy eating and exercise advice there, but obviously I don't know what level you are at fitness-wise? Some great advice earlier in this thread to do lots of free garden or park-based exercise with the kids, and if you have a Wii use it as much as possible! :j
For healthy eating on a tight budget base most evening meals around eggs, beans, tinned pink salmon or a skinless turkey drumstick. Pad out any meat you have with at least two of: onions, celery, carrot and tinned tomatoes. Then add one or two of: pearl barley, dried red lentils, porridge oats or potatoes with the skins still on (healthier and less waste). Cut out/ down on butter, margarine, hard cheese, sugar, biscuits, chocolate, cakes and crisps as these are all expensive AND fattening!

Just having a read through your diary. How is the job hunting going for you both. I hope you find something soon.
Hopefuly you migraine didnt last too long the other day and you are feeling better now. Have you spoken to your OH's parents yet about the rent. I hope they are understanding with you and something is worked out.DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0 -
Hi Lunar we have spoken briefly to OH parents, but as they are in France (they have holiday homes they rent out) for 6 months its quite hard to actually contact them. The job hunting is just the same, we are applying for jobs but not getting any joy atm. My migrane went away after i had gone to bed for a couple of hours but it was OH shouting at the kids to be quiet that woke me up LOL.
Hi Fire Fox, thank for the tips on bulking meals out and what to cut down on. I used to be quite fit a few years ago but with being in a relationship and being content etc etc, the weight has piled on (went from 8st to almost 11st) and im not getting much exercise, although i no longer have the car and have to walk into town 2-3 times a week and i walk the dog, my fitness is starting to improve albeit very slowly. Im also a smoker (not good) so my breathing isnt too good. Iv tried quitting but its soooo difficult when stressed out not to pick one up.Barclays OD -£805.93/limit £800 A & L OD -£350.00/limit £250HFC (laptop) £549.00, Barclays Loan £3033.00, O2 £331 (227.70 left)(defaulted):eek::eek::eek:0 -
I need a smack on the wrists, OH and I went to the pup last night to watch the rugby and footie. We didnt plan on staying out all night but OH mates were out so we were having a laugh and enjoying ourselves, next thing we have spent £60 OMG. How on earth can we afford that???!!!! Plus i woke up on the sofa this morning and have had a hangover all day. I think its about time i cut down on my alcohol intake. My problem is, i dont like to think im missing out on anything which is why i go along to the pub. I was thinking about buying a bottle of wine and staying in, but im just too nosey.Barclays OD -£805.93/limit £800 A & L OD -£350.00/limit £250HFC (laptop) £549.00, Barclays Loan £3033.00, O2 £331 (227.70 left)(defaulted):eek::eek::eek:0
