slippery ....

Bit of advice needed please..

Started the process of letters regarding getting money back on credit card charges(Beneficial Card....HFC BANK..Horrible company to deal with by the way:mad:)...

Got to stage of them offering me 35% of what a was asking for. Replied telling them this was'nt acceptable, then nothing....... no answer to two letters.

Then i found out that that my "DEBT" now is with marbles...?

Now, i am angry...i'm going to do a moneyclaim online, but my question is: do i just follow down the lines that i was going to (i.e do a moneyclaim against HFC BANK?....or do i have to go down a different line because my debt was sold as it were?

Confused...

GAZ.

Thanks in advance for any help given.

If HFC have offered you 35% then it's MCOL with them.

    Thanks...

So even though the debt is no longer with them, i still do the m-col against them?...ie HFC BANK?

My worry is though, if the card is no longer activated, and i have no other cards etc with them, will this make them less likely to pay-up, and also, how WILL they pay?

    GAZ.

Off to m-col with them then!!!!!!!!!!!

I would let them pay off the debt to be honest because they chose to sell a disputed debt.

Ah, so if (hopefully when :D) they pay-up, they are likely to make a payment to the new "owners" of the debt?....suits me, it was £7,900 at one stage, now down to £1,300 and my claim is for £815..... with no interest added.... so nearly there.

    Many thanks again.

Just spoke to them today (ie HFC Bank) and the person who was dealing with my claim said "all literature regarding your claim is now forwarded to RBS, we are unable to access your account.....anything regarding a problem or claim is now with them"......

Is this just a swerve tactic? surely they are liable for their actions, and my m-col has to be still done with HFC?

    Just want to make sure.

    Thanks for any feedback.
