I have a DVB card in my PC and I need a top quality aerial and cable to get a picture. Do these USB thingys take an aerial?

Just ditto the above... if no bona fida aerial doubtful if any internal will work, unless in very, very good reception area.

These work great as long as your in a freeview area, one thing to keep in mind is you will have to re scan every time you move to a new location (different area), Comes supplied with a antenna that works perfetly fine as long as you can reach glass for the suction cup to stick to or a desk. you can also attach any other antenna you wish with a normal coax connector we have 2 up and running at present and have been for 6 months or so work fine every time.
If it doesnt pay rent sell it.

Going back to the world cup, as far as I know, all matches will be kicking off at 5pm or 7pm BST
