As we all know, the world cup is fast approaching, I'd thought about maybe picking up a little TV that I could have on at work to keep up to date with the scores.
Changed my mind as I could watch it on my PC screen at work if I can get a USB Freeview thingamajiggy!
Cheapest I can see is on ebay but not sure just how good they are, has anyone got one or could anyone recommend a good one?

Not sure mate, but with the World Cup being in Germany rather than Japan, won't all the matches be on at night and weekends? Maybe not and i'm just being dense (probably) but if you are right, I will be after one too!!!

I'm thinking there will be a few on during the day - like when they had it in France.
More like the group stages then I'll imagine the semis etc will be on later.Treat others as you would like to be treated :A0 -
In that case, eBuyer has them for about £35!
Sounds cheap to me!

All very well but yoou need a good signal.
I have a DVB card in my PC and I need a top quality aerial and cable to get a picture. Do these USB thingys take an aerial?0 -
Hi
I quite like the look of this one, freeview, time slip, etc, don't know if you can get it anywhere cheaper though.

Does my PC need to have USB2.0 or do you think it will work with 1.1?Treat others as you would like to be treated :A0

Just found this
"Can I receive UK free-to-view TV in Southern Spain?"
http://www.ukfree.tv/helpme.php?faqid=2342
Now I know by this they mean a dish, so don't really know about a usb tv with aerial, I supposing the closer you are to the Astra 2A satellite the better, but again I'm guessing.
So I don't know if this helps or not, but perhaps someone else knows more and will be glad to answer the question.

Apparently not,
Found from ebuyers reviews
"You must have USB 2.0, I also tried it with USB 1.1 port on my old PC and it didn’t work"
I think people have tried ways round this, by buying a 2.0 usb powered hub, I'm not to sure if it works though.
Hope this helps0
