Sainsburys in Hastings had a (literally) 5 minute rush on cut-price fresh turkeys.
Managed to get an 8.5 KG one for £3.00 (was nearly £27)

Soooooooo - it's turket we'll be mostly eating (the Iceland frozen one was thawing out at home whilst I was buying this!!)
  • We got some good deals in matalan today, nothing great but 50% off a lot of stock

Went to Sainsburys today at 4pm, NO bargains at all. Anything that was reduced was only slightly reduced apart from some veg.

Definitely Tesco or Asda next time :)

It is a pain not driving and having to rely on city centre stores. Sainsbury's didn't have any big reductions - what was reduced got bought up by early afternoon. There was some 10p small loaves of bread. Somerfield had some reductions cabbage down to 30p, yoghurts down to 20p and £3 off a £9 chicken but nothing to really right home about. Marks and Sparks were reducing their fresh stuffings and cranberry sauce by 50%. It's very difficult to find bargains when people are buying stuff up like the world is going to end. ;D
