Asda online delivery

I have just used Asda online shopping delivery for the first
time in ages.
The delivery was booked for 1-3pm. As I had a dentist
at 4.30 this suited me perfectly.
The shopping just showed up there at 4.45. I had called
the call centre at 3.45 to be advised they were running 1 hour late.

Is this a common occurrence with online shopping these days?

I had to postpone my dentist till next week, was thinking
of making a complaint but was not sure if its just one of these
things

I wouldn't have bothered if you didn't have an appointment. But as you had to cancel at late notice I would say it was worth a phone call expressing disappointment you weren't contacted until 45 minutes after they were due to show up!

These things do happen so it's not worth kicking up stink over, but an apology would be nice at least :)
    I love surprises!

asda were rubbish, arrived late with no apology just a shrug, daughter was late for her swimming because of it and they only sent parts of the offers so the multibuys didnt work - phoned them and they promised to return with the correct things including wine so i waited in and nothing arrived, phoned them again to find out when it was coming to find nothing was on their system so tough. needless to say i have not used them since
