What now

Hi,

Ive just returned home from holiday to find a response to the third stage of my credit card claim with the Halifax. It stated that it would be sent to a customer relations manager who would get in touch with me soon(nice and specific). This was over 14 days ago and nothing has happened. Am I right in assuming that as soon as it has been 8 weeks from the initial claim letter I can start my case with the Financial O.

Also I received a responsed to stage 2 of claiming my bank charges back. This is where I get confused (this could be jet lag who knows) it says that everything is on hold at the moment. I cant decide whether or not im in hardship.....well I am but not in the way many others are. Currently Im living off benefit, but I have moved back home and have no monthly charges I have to pay, as I have just finally cleared all my debts barr 2 overdrafts. Im not getting any charges on my bank account as I am not ultra careful. So basically. Do I push onto stage 3 or do I wait until they contact me?

Sorry for the long post.

on credit card claim you can take it to the ombudsman,
on the bank charges claim, merely from what is written I doubt you will be seen to be in financial hardship unless you have priority debt arrears ie mortgage/rent, council tax, utilities.
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009

Thank you, thats exactly what I thought. I will just wait out on the bank charge claim for now.

    Just a quick update.

I recieved a call from Halifax credit card services. They informed me that I had worked out my charges wrong, I had less charges than i believed......however I had worked the tax out wrong and I was entitled to more. I got a cheque in the post for £442. Thats more than I was asking for.

More than happy. Thanks for all the help
