Hi folks
More for clarification in my head than anything else, and to make sure I don't create my own fireworks display in the lounge !! lol
TV has 2 SCART sockets.
I have just bought a Humax twin tuner PVR, and have a VCR which I'm going to use to record onto from the Humax.
I also have a DVD player, though at some point in the future will be getting a DVD recorder/player, but not at the mo.
I presume my best connection of all three to the TV is Humax and VCR as per handbook, and DVD player on a separate scart connection ?

I would connect PVR and DVD to TV. If you record onto VCR the picture quality will be pants and why would you want to? The Humax drive has more than enough space.
If you have some old tapes copy them to DVD as and when you get a DVR."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

It's likely that the TV's scart1 is RGB and the scart2 is composite. See if you can find out in the manual. RGB is much better quality. Have a look in your TV manual if unsure. As missile says, I would connect the dvd into the PVR, and the PVR into scart1 on the TV. Then connect the VCR into scart2 on TV. Make sure you go into both the DVD and PVR's picture settings to set them to output RGB. Let us know how it goes...0
