The 'Money Saving' Game

There's one called Payday, which I bought for DS2 for Christmas, which is similar. You work from the edge squares into the centre one, then jump back to square one which is the first of the month and your payday. Can't remember the rest of the details, but I think your idea may have the edge, not to mention that all important element of personal experience! It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0

You had better patent it quick :rotfl:When you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying! :rotfl:0

I have to say that in just under two weeks i have found myself also becoming slightly addicted to the money saving game, finding a good price and even better either making money or getting freebies
And i def think the game idea is one you should run with :TSuccess means having to worry about every thing in the world......EXCEPT MONEY. Johnny Cash

Fab idea I would def buy it, you should approach Martin ( don't know if or how you can do this) i'm sure he'd agree its a fab idea. You should really think about doing this for real, as someone has already said Patent it quick.
Ps I too am gettin addicted, must say I have thrown a few bad dice in the last couple of weeks, but will make better choices this week.May 2015 £10 a day currently £2080 -
Grr...I just typed a long post, went to find the link to a site that can help us and lost everything!! Pooh!
Deep breath and start again!
Lewby - this is your idea and I'll help you take it further if you wish.
You could:
(a) write and draw up everything to do with it - pics, descriptions, board squares, the lot. Get 2 sets and post one to yourself. Don't open the posted one - the postmark/date is your proof of when you hit on the idea.
(b) Use the Trevor Bayliss site for help - you can send stuff to them and they will tell you if its worth taking forward, or you can get a patent agent who'll guide the process which is free.
Problem with (b) is that it starts to cost money at a certain point! Trevor Bayliss is for inventions and I'm pretty sure they can find investors if it hits the right criteria - mixture of novelty, staying power, relevancy to the masses. (I'm sure this has it)
Can't remember the cost just to patent it - I'll have a look when I have some spare time later!! I've been through a patent agent before who is free for guidance until you get to approaching manufacturers...then I would need £Ks to get samples and time out of my f/t job to start selling the idea to them!
Lewby - let me know if you want to start something on this - more than happy to help, whilst remembering it's your baby.
I think an email to Martin with a link to this thread is a good starter too. We need to educate more people and especially our children about money for the future! Maybe he can get someone on the case?Back on the DFW Wagon:

Thanks for your support guys! I have really thought about this idea overnight and today and I do think it's a goer. When you consider how many people are in debt and how easy it is to get into it I think it could be really educational and helpful for people to look at the options available to them that we all find and share.
I will e-mail Martin and see what he thinks as it is his site and I wouldn't want to tread on any toes! Ali I really appreciate your help and will definately keep in touch with you on 'the project' after I have done some research.
Maybe the Governement would back me as they are always highlighting the crisis the country is heading towards because of debt!
Cheers
