Further Update.
I decided to take this up with my MP. Not really expecting much in the way of action or a response.
Well was I pleasantly surprised when I today recieved a letter from the Right Hon Peter Ainsworth MP stating He would be taking up the case personally with the director of the Tax credit office.
Replied within 4 days of me sending a letter. Lets see if it helps.0 -
Don't get your hopes up too much we got Norman Lamb our MP involved he wrote a stinging letter to the Tax Credit Cirector and they eventually wrote back trying to blame incorrect firgures on our update (they made up an extra £15,000 of income for my partner as an employee where she hasn't been employed since 2005) they blamed us for it, I wrote back to our MP and he wrote a very stroppy letter back that was 6 weeks ago and nothing else has appeared.
I even went as far as telling HMRC to pull the recording of the conversation, funnily enough they couldn't
Good luck with it though in the words of my MP
