Also check to see if the tyres are "matched" different tread patterns can produce weird vibrations at odd speeds. Often people mix and match odd tyres to get the best legal wear but in reality you need decent tyres to stop your car when braking (but thats another topic!)0

Thanks to everyone for your replies. I took my car into Evans Halshaw today and they fixed it in 20mins, took it for a spin to make sure it was done and didn't charge me for it. Hurrah!0
