I'm just wondering how strict they are on their credit scoring? I've seen a a good deal on a car there but I'd need finance, and I have a bad credit history from when I was young and irresponsible at uni, which has haunted me for the past 6 years! Thanks xx

Arnold Clark will not underwrite the finance.
They will send it to one of the usual suspects e.g. Santander, Blackhorse etc etc. This would be the same at any of the big dealer groups.
If they can't get you accepted at one of these then they will have some sub prime lenders which they will propose your deal to e.g. welcome or similar. This may mean the deal changes (monthly payments) from what they originally quoted as welcome charge a lot higher APR than santander for instance.
N.b. I think bad stuff drops of your credit history after 6yrs.0 -
Why not get your Credit History checked before you go?0
