Gosh SA, I never thought of what to do when debt free, i.e. whether to still have a diary! I suppose it will keep you in check and it will be nice to hear what you are up to. Keep your diary x
  • Glad to hear doc said it was nothing too serious - it must have been a relief.
Final push for the debts - you're doing great :j

    Good Morning all!

Swinstie - I'll just keep my diary until I've saved enough to get ahead of myself but I'll still be lurking about on other people's diaries so you have been warned!

Cbm - yes I was relieved but side is still aching, hopefully not for too much longer.

Three good things to report today:

    1. I've paid another £5 off debt so now down to £175 :j

    2. Tesco's have sent me a £15 moneycard to apologise for a bottle of cava which exploded in my wine rack 2 weekends ago. It only cost me £4 so am £11 in profit (although it wasn't much fun being woken up by the bang and having to clear up the mess at 5am on a Sunday morning) :money:

    3. I've finally got my Toluna surveys Amazon evoucher through after waiting since November for it. I've ordered the Ministry of Sound Running Trax CD and a book. :money:

Was VERY tempted this morning to clear rest of debt when OH's wages went in the bank but need to hold fire until nearer the end of the month when I know where I am more as I must put all the holiday spending money away this month. I'm getting so impatient!

I'd be the same SA, I've already forecasted what I'm paying next month just so I can see my debt under £7K! Why don't you pay half of what you have left so you don't spread yourself thin?

Hi Swinstie - I had thought of paying a bit more off but as I can't predict what OH will be earning for the rest of the month have decided it would be best to curb my enthusiasm a bit! He's working this week and I think some of next but after that he doesn't know yet.

Back again! You knew I couldn't resist it. Been thinking about what to do and have decided to pay £50 a week off for the next three weeks and then the final £25 will be the minimum payment to finally finish it off. So have just paid off £50 and my debt is now down to £125!! :j

For every bit of good news there's always something bad - OH has dropped his fairly new mobile phone in a bucket of water (don't ask!). I've told him to put it in a bag of rice (can't remember where I saw this tip). At the moment it's on the radiator. If he can't get it dried out he'll have to use his old phone again but I just know he'll keep on and on and on about it until he gets a new one. Men!!

Friday at last and looking forward to putting my feet up tonight with a glass of wine. Plans for this weekend are some more decluttering. Really need to clear out the cupboard under the stairs but need OH's participation in this as it's quite a big job for one person, so if I can prise him away from fiddling about with his phone it might get done.

Have a great weekend everyone!

    Hi,

After spending all afternoon reading this entire thread (OK, so I had a nap in the middle) I wanted to post a comment for a few reasons.
    1. Thanks for keeping me entertained.
    2. Thanks for making me motivated/feel guilty into thinking I should do some exercise hehe.
    3. Well Done.!! You've achieved so much.

I'm a bit disappointed that I've only just found your diary.

Good luck with the final stint and have a great holiday, I can't wait to read more.
