Pay as you go electric key mix up
Hiya all, new to the boards.
Just a small and rather silly mistake. We recently swapped our pay as you go electric and gas from Scottish Power to British Gas. One morning I mistakedly took the old Scottish Power electric key to the shop for a top up. It wasn't until a couple of hours later that I realised my mistake. The credit on the key won't register with the meter as we're now using the British Gas key.
I took the key back to the shop for a refund but despite me still having a receipt they could not refund me, stating that the machine will only refund the very last person to buy credit on it.
It's not a great deal of money; only £20, but naturally I'd like it back! Does anybody have any ideas how I go about getting it back?

Hmm, i don't know if paypoint have a customer service number but a quick google should get their website. That might help.
Sorry this is rushed, on the way out fo the door to work. Good luck!0 -
They payment should get redirected to BG. It takes a couple of days to reach them. Phone (0800 048 0303)/write/email with all the details and they should be able to put the £20 on a message back to your meter.0
