Barclaycard and BTs

Have just tried today and found that I cant do a balance transfer on to my barclaycard as I do not meet the requirements. I have had one or two late payments in the past six months which means that I dont qualify for a BT.
But yet I could go out and blow the whole lot on shoes and they wouldn't bat an eyelid :wall: :wall:
Anyone else ever came across this problem before??
