I started using it a couple of months ago when I saw their advertising banner on Expedia.
The idea is that you pick a project that is on the site and then you can donate money which goes towards specific things. You then get feedback every few months on how the money donated through Global Giving has helped that project. I donated to a horse project and got my first feedback email the other day. I found it a very easy way to donate to charity and make sure that my money made a difference.
Has anyone else ever used Global Giving at all? Are there any other sites like this that I can try?

Been using Global Giving for a while now and had no probs. I like the idea of being able to donate to grassroots stuff with only 10% overhead costs.

http://www.kiva.org/ a little known company that not many people have heard of!!! Joking.0 -
Awesome thanks for posting those NumboJumbo. I will take a look at all of these. I knew about Kiva but I haven't heard about the rest of them. Which of these do you think is easier to use?0

I think both Kiva and Global Giving are just as easy, although Global Giving is slightly easier for me, as you don't have to register to donate to them, if you don't want to.
Apart from Shared Interest as mentioned in the Help From Home link, I don't have any experience with the others mentioned in my previous post.
Hope that helps0 -
I had a look at the others and I Kiva is very interesting. I do like Global Giving though cause as you said you don't have to register to donate to them. Thanks again for all your help.0

What about the 10% admin charge? Isn't that kind of high?
