Why does money saving make me feel so sad?

Look upon money saving as a challenge - how to live well but make your money go further. And don't be envious of those who seem to throw money about - they might be up to their ears in debt, and, realistically, what do you have to show for spending thousands of pounds? Possessions, things that you soon get bored with, holidays that are fabulous at the time but soon become a distant memory. Learn to love your surroundings, eat well, have good times with family and friends that need not cost the earth, and once debt free stay that way!One life - your life - live it!0

Sorry in advance if I get this all wrong, this is my first post, but been an avid watcher/reader for a while, so about time I dip a toe in the forum pool.
I've been trying to be good!:j
I've done Martins budget planner....(came out in the black Phew!)
Swapped my gas & electric company...
Water meter being installed next Sat...
Got a £18-50pm discount on my Virgin media package...
Just paid off my first credit card this morning of £579.59....yet I feel depressed rather than pleased with myself?
Maybe its the thought of the other things I could have done with £579.59???
Do you feel like this, I am a DFW!!!!
...and thanks to all the posters I've not been able to say thank you to before as I've just registered, but this site is an inspiration! :A
Yea I feel the same. Feel down right now about money even though I pay of end of end of the month.

Ugh I am feeling down tonight, withdrawal symptoms from spending money or any sort even for petrol! I dont have any though to pay day, whats wrong with me? Why do I crave to spend money even if it is just to fill the car up with fuel on the credit card!0
