Trains From Lake District
Comments
-
I will be staying near Lake Windermere (having made my way there by car with friends) in September, does anyone know the easiest way back by train to London (I can get a lift to a station if needed)
Thanks!
Virgin trains stop at Oxenholme Lake District from Glasgow to London. Think local trains interchange there too.0 -
great, thanks for your help!0

train station in windermere village - (between booth's supermarket and lakeland plastics) - trains go from there to Oxenholme at Kendal, change there for London / Carlisle / Birmingham etc. -0

Hannhol, just a little tip for you. If you planning a Holiday in Sept then get your train ticket early as it will save you loads;
Oxenholme to London Euston Offpeak Single £77.70
Oxenholme to London Euston Advance Single £17
The cheap Advance singles do sell out quickly so don't leave it to the last moment to buy your train ticket.
You can buy up to the 20th of Aug at the moment so it will be a couple of weeks until they release the cheap tickets for Sept.Whoa! This image violates our terms of use and has been removed from view0 -
