My mother in-law was trying to claim her charges quickly due to hardship as she had teminal cancer. We wrote to them and then she was sent a hardship form and before it was sent back she died (18th May). Will my husband still be entitled to claim these charges?

My condolences to your family. If the Mother in law left a will then the executor can still claim the charges back but it is unlikely to be looked at until after the conclusion of the OFT test case.0 -
My late wife had a court case pending but died in February this year. My wife left no will so can I claim back the charges on her behalf or do I have to make a new claim?0

widower - sorry to hear of your sad loss. I presume you have letters of administration from Probate Service, otherwise it is doubtful bank would discuss details of claim with you. You may need to check with relevant court if case can proceed or if you would need to make a new claim as "Personal Representative of Mrs Widower"If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0
