Useless Car Insurance Company Advice Please

My daughter must be insured with the most useless car insurance company in the world. The company is MARKERSTUDY an off shoot of Endsleigh.
Last summer she had a bump, uninsured driver at fault her car was written off took said company over two months to pay out and then wrote and asked for money back as she was not insured with them. Wrote to their complaints dept in Gibralter and sorted it out very apologetic.
Three weeks ago she was rear ended by a 4 x 4, car a write off. Phoned her insurance company and they told her that it was HER fault and even though she has fully comp insurance wouldn't gve her a courtesy car. The 3rd party insurers inspected the car three days later. Her insurance company haven't done a thing. She gets passed from one department to another. She contacted Helphire who are taking the case up on her behalf as the insurance company were not interested and she has been given a courtesy car. But her car has still not been inspected by her own insurance company and even Helphire have been given the run around. At wits end now, any advice thanks

Hardly any insurer will give a courtesy car in respect of a write-off, as you need to replace the car in any case.

I don't see how they said it was her fault if she was rear-ended.

She shouldn't hire a car from Helphire if the car is definitely a write-off, she should demand an immediate settlement from her insurers and buy a replacement car.

She doesn't even have to use her insurers, she can claim directly from the third party driver/insurer.

They have nothing to do with Endsleigh. Markerstudy (a Gibraltar company), underwrite their own policies.

Most insurers dont give courtesy cars out on write offs.
The 3rd party insurers inspected the car three days later. Her insurance company haven't done a thing.

If the other insurers are accepting liability and paying out then her own insurers have very little that is needed to do and dont need to inspect the car.

I dont know what helphire is but who is paying for that car? Surely it cannot be a courtesy car but a hire car?

Helphire are a claims amnagement company and will provide a hire car and then charge high prices to the third party.
They will also help with personal injury claims and get try to get high costs for themselves.

Sometimes the insurer will not agree to ludicrous hire car charges (I've heard of 5 figure sums where it would be cheaper to BUY a car) and the individual gets taken to the small claims court.

They will only take cases where there is something in it for them (they try to charge the 3rd party lots).
This can lead to extra stress beause it's the individual that gets taken to court.

Thanks lisyloo. I suspected that was the case.

I also suspect the OP is confused with the process and terminology and perhaps is getting inflation second hand and that isnt helping. I suggest the daughter contacts the claims line and asks for advice on what to do and asks what the process is and writes it down.
