I got a loan for £3000 from natwest. I lost my job in december and had to claim J.S.A.Ive tried to have the form signed that I was sent but the jobcentre say I need to have my policy number ect in order for them to sign it.I contacted my bank and they said I have to call the number they gave me.The loan people say they cant send or give details over the phone and therefore must go to the bank.I have been passed from pillar to post and still cannot activate my insurance. Is there anyway I can reclaim I insurance fees? as I think its unfair that I paid into it but couldnt claim when it was needed.Ive become overdrawn because Ive had to repay the loan out of benefit.

The way they have treated your is wrong. I presume the bank sold you the insurance so I would advise you to go in there ask to speak to the Manager and get him to sort it out with the insurance company. I have my own business and when I questioned the PPI I had had added to a business overdraft my Bank Manager rung the insurance company and cancelled it himself no problem. They are messing about with you so get firm with them.
If you try to claim it back you could have to go to the FOS then you could wait up to 18 months. It would surely be best for you to get the benefit of the insurance now.
You could also try the CAB who may be able to advise you further.
