Why not go for another Yaris? The D4D Multi-Mode is an excellent little run around and gives excellent MPG (and I believe only £35 per year Car tax) quick search pulled up:

Up for 10,495, I'm sure you could get it for 10k....

Whilst the Jazz with i-SHIFT has good reviews, it does not come anywhere near the Yaris for CO emissions or MPG (and is £120 per year car tax). The Yaris also pulls better than the Jazz due to the diesel engine.

Take the MMT Yaris or any MMT car for a long test drive first. It's like Marmite - some hate it, some find it OK.

I second that !! they are known to have major problems and the trouble is dealers know about these problems and will tend to offer you a poor part ex when its time to sell
  • I had an auto Corsa for a few weeks as a courtesy car. I found it quite sickening to drive. The engine didn't seem big enough for smooth auto change. I think it was a bit bottom of the range though. No electric windows or central locking.

The mmt is rubbish........ even Toyota (allegedly) are scrapping it.

Does it have a 'proper' automatic gearbox? Probably has and therefore alright?

    What about the Fabia's one?

Trouble is all the stupid manufacturers are so neurotic about emissions, that they are fitting these horrible inefficient mmt type gear boxes into small cars. (No doubt bribed by the government and the government employed scientists........ who tell us all about global warming, yeah right :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:).

OP - buy a nice auto V8 something or other........ :D:D:D
