in Credit cards
Good evening,
i am embarking on an 8 month tour of Australia & SE Asia soon and have a question i hope you can answer for me please? You guys seem to know what you're talking about when it comes to credit card rules and knowledge! follow this link:
travelindependant.info/b4yougo.htm
scroll down to "how do i take all these funds" opposite to money on arrival sub heading there is a paragraph on overpaying your credit card to avoid the charges you pay for withdrawing cash from that card? is this legal? a good idea?
If not, can someone please recommend the best way for me to take my money abroad or how to access it whilst away?
many thanks for reading

Most cards won't allow overpayments and in any case you would be still charged the cash advance fee even if the card was in credit.0

use a debit cards for cash
especially Nationwides as the charges are only 1% for foreign currency withdrawal
credit cards, in general, charge both a cash withdrawal fee and very high interest plus a foreign currency fee too.0
