poly tunnel cloche question

Options
Hi, I bought two poly tunnel cloches from poundland, and have put them out on my new rasied vegetable bed, I just wondered, do I need to put anything against the ends of the tunnel at night or do they offer enough protection for my young plants, as I currently have pieces of cardboard balanced at the ends at night - but i figure that wouldn't be much use if it rains :o

They look like this

You may find that if you dont cover the sides with something the wind will get in and rip it to shreds especialy as its a Poundland one the plastic rips but if it does keep the bars and recover next year with builders plastic.
The solving of a problem lies in finding the solvers.
