Black horse car loan

Within the last 5/6 years i have bought a vehicle from a car dealer and part of the car was financed via black horse finance.Question is i have no records of what i paid them and am not sure if i could claim anything.Would they still have records as to what insurance etc i paid them if any.
Any advice appreciated.

    Hi there

You could request for a copy of the agreement (CCA) and enclose a smally payment of £1 by postal order or cheque payment, they should supply by 12 days.

As you said you have no records, then I take it then you have no account number to write on the letter to request for the CCA.

Just a thought, but if you check your old bank statements, you can also do this online on online banking, you should be able to go back 5/6 years, and the account number should be shown on there, but otherwise when you request for a copy of the CCA, make sure you enclose if your surname was different then and address, also add your DOB for easier tracking.

    Post by recorded delivery.;)

You could actually for even more information request a Subject Access Request, also known as an SAR, there is a link to the template for this below .......
They have 40 days to comply and send everything possible as requested on the SAR, but there is a charge of £10 cheque or postal order payment for this, again post by recorded delivery.

When it comes to reclaiming, obviously you have your reasons, well below is the link to guidelines of PPI reclaiming and template letters to help you, but just write in your own reasons.
    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance

They have 8 weeks to respond in full.
Another letter maybe required if they do not resolve this in your favour in the first response - as some do give you the opportunity to write back in order for them to reconsider.

In the final response, "if eligible" they should give details of the Financial ombudsman service (FOS).

Keep us posted and we will help all we can throughout the reclaiming, good luck.;)
