Parking at the 02 on a arena night

Hi all

Not sure if i'm really posting the correct area but i'm hoping some of you guys could help...

we are off to see britney spears on thurs and we haven't as yet pre-booked parking at the o2.

I'm just wondering whether it would be safe to just turn up and park instead and if so whether it would out cheaper than the £20 required to pre-book a car park space. Or are we best to pre-book as spaces are likely to be filled up on a event night?

We are aiming to get to the 02 at lunchtime, go to the cinema, grab something to eat and then go the concert so would be there pretty much all day...

Thanks

    Hi again,

can anyone help me with the above

    Thanks
  • I would recommend parking at North Greenwich London underground station which is on the same site as the O2 arena.

The car park is run by NCP and costs only £6 to park all day. I would suggest you arrive at 11am as this is when the general public are allowed to park. (STH only before this time) You will find the car park on Edmund Halley Way.

If the NCP car park is full I would suggest parking in the O2 arena car parks 2-4, which can be found on Edmund Halley Way opposite the David Beckham football school. These car parks cost £8 for 8 to 12 hours.

Hope this helps and enjoy the show

Thanks Brett you've been a great help :)
  • Hi Melissa,

The alternative if you're getting in later is to ignore the £20 parking areas and head towards the cinema parking area. The guy on the gate may ask what you're there for (show or cinema) tell him the latter. It's a hell of a lot cheaper and in fact if you actually go to the cinema after you get it for free by taking your ticket into them.

Thanks - yeah I think we're gonna say we're there for the cinema and something to eat as i don't fancy being conned for £20 when you can park for £6-£8...

    Thanks for your help :)
