I would like a masonary barbeque, I think they are a nice feature/focal point in the garden.

But looking at some on the link above, they seem pretty overpriced for what they are.
Anyone built their own?
Care to post pics?

Gob smacked at those prices
Never built a BBQ , but it must be cheap0 -
The link version is concrete sections and looks like it should have a Mary and cross in it??? You can build a nice one from Block and line with fire bricks, but the chimney is the hard bit. I like jamie Olivers dome oven, but can;t imagine what that cost.0

Has a look of something you would see on a Greek island:D0 -
These are super expensive! My boyfriend wanted one and I ended up getting mine from eBay. Still paid around £200 (for a good one) and luckily had a van and some strong men to lift it.0

I built a brick BBQ which is very cheap.
My mate had an idea of building it out of brick and then covering it with a thin layer of concrete, but not sure that would work and you wouldn't get the fancy look either.4 free batteries, Shawshank DVD + 3 films, 3 Months free at Love Film, Grolsh Glass, Teddies for the kids, Moving house pack, dippo water device, tickets for motorshow.0 -
My dad built his own BBQ but it's more like this

very simple to build, the only problem could be getting the tray for the coals and grill tray (not a problem for us as we have friends that can make them for us)
They type you show look rather difficult if you're a novice tho :undecided0 -
Some bloke on ebay will build one of those Argos type ones for £70 for the labour.

He requires £70 to lay less than 150 bricks
Nice job if you can get it.0 -

looks like a very respectable grill, not sure on the width, so you might need front and rear supports then use 2 to make the width as you need some decent real estate
you could use the same for coal grill as its pretty substantial0
