I've not used one but find a Foot File from the body shop is brilliant and much cheaper. Although you do then have to sweep the floor as the bits don;t get collected. Pumice is also very good and very cheap.

I do all this yucky stuff while I'm sitting on the grass in the garden , in this weather! Don't have to clean up after myself!

bought mine a few months ago when it was around £9 from Boots. I find it very good, it does smooth your feet out and collects a lot of bits. It does still drop bits on the floor though, so be careful.

  • Just a bit of an update on this "Ped Egg" craze that seems to be all the rage.
Leicestershire trading standards in are visiting certain "pound" shops and market stalls in the area and confiscating what is thought to be imported copies, these so called copies do bare the copyrighted name of "Ped Egg", so be careful what you buy, If it costs a couple of quid or less it may be an inferior copy.

  • They are excellent!. Bought mine from boots, after mother in law recommended it. Didnt like paying £10 but so relieved I did.
Nothing else works like it, ive even been that desperate ive even tried sandpaper.

Got ours for a tenner from Asda, like a cheese grater for feet and excellent. Have to admit I was very sceptical to start of with, but wouldn't be without it now.

I have to second the microplane, I had a ped egg which I thought was great.

The microplane is absolutely amazing and worth every penny, my feet are fabulous and I do a lot of walking which encourages hard skin. It produces at least 4 times the amount of skin than the pedegg. Definitely worth the investment.

Would recommend the PedEgg (but not the price) but a word of warning. If (like me) you get so carried away seeing all that lovely gubbins (as someone so eloquently put it) that you forget to stop, you will have very sore heels the next day.
It does work and it does collect the dead skin, although bits do invariably fall out as you are using it at different angles. Just go carefully for the first couple of uses.

I have an amazing product from the body shop. Its a fair trade terracotta rough.. "thing" (I don't know the official name!) :o

Bought for £4 or so a few years back, last year I had taken it with me when visiting parents and dad had to buy his own after I had left as he couldn't live without it - a first for him to say that about a beauty product! :D

Works like no other grater/file anything I've ever used before.:T

  • I got a cheap version from Ebay and it's brilliant!

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
