Hi all, my problem is'nt spiders, but WOODLICE:eek:, i am over run with them, i scooped up 6 in the hall alone, this morning, any 1 got any idea how to get rid of these?? any suggestions greatly appreciated:o:o.

They can be a sign of damp, have you got a downstairs loo or anything where there could be a slightly leaky pipe?

Write to HH62 ask her to send you a box of her spiders, they'll eat the woodlice for you.

I do my housework according to a schedule I have devloped, a little everyday so that my small flat is kept tidy and clean. I live alone so there isn't much to do really.

Hardly any spiders in here, however for the last two summers I have seen an influx of flies and often find 4 or 5 flitting around in one or other of the rooms. I have a spraycan of Raid at the ready in each room, but it is annoying.

Oh, the good old days!! Why do men always leave 'stuff' lying about and expect it to be cleared away and the housework done?

I find that I get lots more spiders in our house now as we have moved into a house surrounded by trees.

I don't mind spiders, woodlice, beetles or anything else that comes in and does'nt make a mess.
What's driving me crazy is the bluebottles that are coming and are then too stupid too find the way out so decide to poop all over the clean windows.
Anyone got any ideas how to keep these out, smelly pants or something.
I don't like fly sprays and chemicals though.

I hate the choking smell of fly spray insecticide.:p I've had success getting rid of flies without resorting to swatting them or spraying with nasty chemicals either.

As soon as I spot a fly in the room, I make sure to close the door to trap the fly in that room and stop it flying off around the house. Then I open the window(s) wide and do a silly scarecrow dance with my arms outstretched and guide the fly to the window. Eventually it must get fed up of looking at me and decides to fly out the window. Job's a good 'un. No fly corspe splattered on the wall, no choking fly spray to suffer and fly has gone to annoy somebody else.:D

Try it, it's a cheap way of removing the blighters.................and you won't have a corspe on your conscience.

Still noticing loads of the blighters. Seem to have seen at least one every other day or so for several weeks now, after months of none of them. I am DREADING :eek: Sept/Oct which is when they tend to be seen a lot more.
    Should I sell the house....
