Im just about to book a ferry with Brittany Ferries (£640 and thats not including cabins) and was wondering if anyone as any codes/tips for getting the price down, Ive got a good contact for discounts on poferries but they dont except dogs. Failing that im tempted to join the property owners club, Anyone a member of that ?
Thanks in advance,

We always went Britt up to two years ago but found now just too pricy. We went by Tunnel last year for a fraction of the cost and can recommend. We took our caravan and they are some great camping a la ferme sites nearby.
You only get cheaper fares with BF if you book very early.0 -

Are you sure about the dog situation? I could have sworn that P&O accept dogs quite happily...From Poland...with love.
They are (they're) sitting on the floor.
Their books are lying on the floor.
The books are sitting just there on the floor.0 -
You don't mention where you are travelling to and from but:
P&O at Dover certainly accept dogs.
LD Lines out of Portsmouth to Le Havre also accept dogs. They have a lunchtime sailing and overnight sailing from Portsmouth https://www.ldlines.co.uk. These are often found cheaper than Brittany Ferries.
LD Lines also operate Dover to Boulogne with fares I believe from around the £30 mark for car and passengers.0 -
Unfortunately I have no info on Brittany as they are too expensive for us - however anything you have on P and O would be great as I need to book a crossing and prices have just shot up by £40!0

Thanks for replys, Sorry forgot to mention its the spanish sailings im refering to, So im limited to BF & P&O and unfortunately P&O dont except dogs on the Bilbao-Portsmouth route. Im not bothered driving all the way up to Dover its just the other half. Looks like im going to join the property owners club so watch this space.0

My parents are members of the BF property owners club, have been for years. BF are more expensive but they are lovely boats. You get 15% off I think as a property owner, your friends can get discounts too (I think about 10 crossings a year can be given out by the property owner), I think that's 10%-do you have any friends who are members?
Also, try phoning them up rather than doing it on line, my Dad always swears he gets better deals that way!0 -
The Property Owners is worth it for discounts on big fares like yours and especially if you're going to go other times as well. You also get a discount on restaurant meals as well (buffet dinners to die for and quite good breakfasts too). We are just about to give up ours though because we aren't using it enough. Tunnel/Dover ferries are so much better value.0
