Egg Card Paying Off with Mrs Anon's Debit Card Query

I am sure this has been covered but as the search excludes Egg I cannot find this ...
My wife and I are coming to the end of Egg anniversaries - the money is currently stoozed in Mrs Anon's savings account which has a debit card. I know that Egg's online system says that you can only make payment with debit cards if the card is in your name (no doubt for security), but does anyone know if it checks and will prevent payment? The quickest way to pay off my Egg card is clearly to use Mrs Anon's debit card but will have to send by BACS if necessary.

I have made payments for my mum's cc on my debit card.. but there was a limit as it was the first time I done the transaction (not this did not involue egg.. there policy may be different!).Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 092
