Kind of depends on the processor speed which you have not mentioned and what brand is it?

Although, if it aint got an OS, its not worth £250 when you get decent brand Dell machines with near similar specs and with an OS and a 1 year warranty (can get extended if you pay). And a monitor.

I would wait until the release of windows 7 anyway, the spec you've stated above doesn't come with an OS so your looking for about £100 for that, bringing it to £350, unless your running Linux on it? Is there no monitor with it? if not thats another £150, I mean, you can get something for less than £500 with monitor and os and a better spec

You really want 3GB+ at 800MHz otherwise your going to notice a bottleneck in your system when it comes to futureproofing with new programs.

The E5200 runs at 2.5GHz as standard.

Thank you all for the replies. It looked 'cheap' at £249 but as you add OS and monitor, well perhaps not.

Have a look in Staples, they have a good deal on an Acer with monitor and Vista Business, it had 1GB of ram but you could just put this in it and you'd have a great little comp, £299 the pc cost.

Just to compare, similar spec, smaller HD, but includes OS.

    2nd one down.
