Thanks so much for the warm welcome everybody
I've so got to try and avoid buying lunches its amazing how much sandwiches can add upto over a month. So I'll join you it that target. Might also try the 2lbs if I can get on the Wii fit!
Cool, how you going Shelley?
Lol Tesco, I am still addicted. I am currently hoping Sadie will win
I haven't had a bad week although I still haven't made the transition to being in money saving mode.
In terms of the challenges. I made a Summer Cous Cous Salad:
http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/2394/summer-couscous-salad for the first time last Sunday as we had family round (as a side for the meal). It was actually quite cheap to make apart from buying a pack of Halloumi. It has been good for lunches through the week too.
It is Slimming World for me tonight, I am hoping I have lost the 2lbs but to be honest any loss will make me happy as I am in it for the long haul. I signed up for swimming this week too. In my area it is now free for everybody and we have a new pool as well (now that is money saving!). I went to a swimfit session on Monday and really loved it!
I haven't bought any lunches this week!
In terms of a nice thing I went and helped somebody with the preparation for an interview for two hours
Today my only spends should be on slimming world

I have had a bit more of a clear out. I am pleased as I have been really ruthless with my clothes and our bedding and through this I have donated three large bags to 'Save the children'. I know if I was in true money saving mode I would have ebayed it but as I rarely donate money to charities I do like to donate our old stuff to some extent.
Me too! I like donating stuff. We have some great Oxfam shops near us. One is just books. Another is CDs, DVDs, Vids & electrical equipment. I love donating to these shops and I like buying from them too. Charity shops are multi-million pound businesses and do a lot of good and are worthy of our support imho.:D
I do consider myself "in money saving mode" but I've never e bayed or car booted a thing... We all have to find our own MFW path..0 -

I'm doing great on lunches. Taken pack up most days and managed on fruit the day I didn't. Not been on Wii Fit though
Agree on charity shops too - buy loads of books there but just can't bring myself to give them back!Looking for the perfect home and saving to make becoming a MFW easier

Mortgage Now £113k:j
Wow setmefree I can't believe you have managed to shift that much of your mortgage in 6 years, now that is inspirational stuff!
Shelley glad to see you have done so well with lunches. Now go and jump on the wii fit, you know you want to!
I got weighed and have lost 1lb. I'm happy with that as I have not been full on with the diet yet but have made better food choices and feel more in control.
I am going for 2lbs again this week and hopefully this time I will do it.
Today is 1 week to pay day and then I will post a budget for the month.

Well today I am back on the wagon as yesterday one challenge contradicted another. I made my 2nd recipe, chocolate cupcakes w/ chocolate frosting from the Hummingbird Bakery Cookbook. Bad move, they were really good but I had 4!!!
