Barclays help?! please

ok so this has been going on since the start of the month, and it is really starting to annoy me.
I got a new bank card though ages ago for an old woolwich account my gran opened for me years ago, when i was a baby.
Anyway i found it a few months ago in a drawer, and though...hey i could use this account for money i make on ebay and try n save it up!

So i ended up starting to use the account, which was a basic bank account, no overdraft facilities or anything.
Then about 2 months later i got a letter saying thanks for upgrading your account...dunno what it was but i was certain i hadn't upgraded any account. And this one had a £3 a month fee attached.
So i phoned them up the same and got it sorted, or so i thought it had been...ever since i've been getting statements through with £3 deducted every month for the charge.
Now i admit i having being paying much attention to it, until today when i remembered about the whole situation.
But i never use this account, and i couldn't tell you how much overdrawn it is, prob only about £20.
But what can i do about this, as it is Barclays fault!

It sounds like somewhere along the way, your account has been upgraded to an "Additions" package where you pay a small fee for extra benefits.

This should only happen if you agree, but occasionally Barclays staff have been known to just upgrade accounts, to boost their sales.

If you send a letter of complaint, Barclays will sort it out for you.
    Happy New Year
