halifax dragging their feet grrr

I started a claim with halifax under the hardship rules about 4-5 weeks ago, they sent me a letter within a week saying that all cases are put on hold and they wouldnt look at my case until after the court case, but then said i should send them a form with incomings and outgoings along with arrears i have on bills.
I sent that back in the return post but still have not heard back. We phoned halifa yesterday but all we got told is that they have our claim and thats all they could say on the matter.

Is this normal and how long should i wait before contacting them again.

I would say, Monday then Tuesday then Wednesday then Thursday and then Friday and then the following Monday etc.etc.
If need be talk about the stress of the arrears on your various priority debts and how much better it would be without the worry. I call it the "hassle them" technique ;)
