    Smile currently do the same with their card reader. You need it for every single transaction of online banking, bar checking your balance.

    I tell you since I started banking in 1991 at the tender age of 11, I've gone through 4 banks and none have been that good. I was with HSBC from school (Midland Bank) right up until finishing Uni and then switched and have never found any good bank. I think they are all as bad as one another and you may get 25% for customer satisfaction, but that is about it.

    Ah well, you need a bank account to get paid, so you can't really grumble or do anything about it!!
