Hi everyone.. not an auction site question, but seeing as your a knowledgeable lot on rip-off merchants hopefully someone might offer some advice..
I recently 'purchased' off a website that was listed on Amazon's new and used section.. they asked that I visited their site for more details.. purchase from there etc.. (suppose in hindsight that should have set the alarm bells off! )
Anyway.. I emailed them to check item was in stock (mini-iPod) they replied that it was.. and asked for payment via Nochex. I did this (using my C/Card) and they stated delivery in 3-4 days..
A couple of days after I paid the money, their website 'closed' for maintenance problems.. would be back up on such a date, this extended twice.. the website eventually disappeared.
I contacted my C/Card company and they wont refund my money as it was made via Nochex (who are not directly involved with the seller)
Nochex wont give me any details, gave me the legal speil.. they did state that they have stopped the sellers using their facility for taking payments due to a number of similar complaints to mine..
I didn't make a note of the address on the website as it was late when I made the order.. thought I 'would do it tomorrow' can only remember it was a Bristol address >:( The site did seem genuine, they even had a live chat facility to make enquiries.
Any suggestions on my next step anyone?

Pop the website address in there, click submit and Bob's yer gran.
It might give the details and it might not, just depending on how the site was setup0
