Explain Freeview/UKStyle To Me Please

It's been annoying me for ages and I don't understand it ... but you lot will.

I have a freeview box, I flick through the channels and up pops one that calls itself: UKTV STYLE.

It says
Now: Living in the Sun

So I stop flicking, the screen is black. There's nothing.

This channel is never "on".

Why's that?

Its not available on Freeview - you can top up (i.e. pay) to get it on Freeview.

its an encrypted subscription channel, you need a compatiable box and a subscription to view it.

Well, thanks for the answer. That's annoying then. I wish it wasn't on the list ... they tempted me the b4st4rds.

At least I have no understanding of subscription services and boxes so won't be tempted

Set up a Favourite list, and dont include any " subscription " channels.. sorted.


or just delete them.;)

Hey - all I can do is go through the channels by pressing the back/forward buttons ... I don't do advanced features!
