Tiling Quote - fair?

Hi,
I am hoping to get a tiler to tile approx. 4.5 square metres in kitchen (above worktop to cabinet level).
Had several "My Builder" (online) quotes of around £100 to £150 (and a handful much higher).
Had one person in to look and quote who said £250.
Please does anyone know what a fair price should be? There is one straight wall around 2.5m long and then one L-shaped section. There are probably about 5 sockets to tile around.
Many thanks.

Sorry, I meant to say the £250 quote is NOT including tile adhesive or grout (or tiles obviously!).
Many thanks.0 -
Approx 1 -1.5 days work
Mapei Adhesives, primers and grouts £35
Going rate in edinburgh would be between £180-£250
Is there any prep work needed,Wall paper removed and walls flat?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -
Hi Andy,
Many thanks for your reply, much appreciated. No prep work required I don't think, walls are flat, slight residue of old glue where old tiles were removed but pretty flat.
So this seems fair then, I wondered whether it was on the high side but I'm not up on costs for these things.
Thanks once again.0 -
I'd agree with Andy seems a fair price. I'd probably be looking for £ 200 - £ 250 darn sarf.
Be wary of £ 250 excluding addy, grout etc. That seems a tad high.
