My Barclaycard £2500 - 0% till Jul 09
Wifes Virgin CC £5500 - 0% till Sep 09
I am employed and the wife is unemployed.
Want to put all her debt to me and get onto a single CC
with a 0% BT Rate
Cant go with MBNA as they wont transfer her Virgin unless
I use a cheque BT which has 4% - which would equate £220 for her debts to transferred.
Only thing i can think of is Either Halifax or Egg card? and ask them if they would give me an 8k credit limit? But i have found most CC wont let you increase the limit within the first six months!
One of the reasons i want to transfer wife's debt is that im worried she wont be eligible for a new CC (when it comes do the 0% BT CC changeover) as she is unemployed.
Any other ideas?

If the worst happens, Martin's advice is to transfer what you can. You'll still save money. Don't leave an offer unused out of exasperation. It's already on your credit file, so you may as well use it (Please see Martin's *Credit Card Limit: didn't get what you wanted?* article
13 months at 0% is currently available to new customers from Halifax on balance transfers made in the first 90 days. There's a 3% BT fee.
Minimum monthly payment is just 1% of the balance shifted

Alternatively, you'd get 0% until 1 July 2010 with Egg card. A 3% fee applies.
