cash back card Q

Options
Hi guys,

When it comes to the cash back cards would the cash back be void if i did the following..

For example:

Go to tesco and do my weekly shop and earn cash back

then

Go home and make a payment for the exact amount i just spent in tesco.

Would the cash back still show or does it have to be on there fora calander month etc to be eligible? I cant seemt o find any threads were this has been asked

Cheers

You don't need to be quite that quick.

Buy what you'd normally spend on a debit card on the credit card
Bill comes through at the end of the month
Pay the bill in full and you will get the cashback but won't be charged interest.

No, it would still be valid. (Based on the cards I hold {Shell and Egg}) The CC company is still getting their percentage off the merchant for your transaction.

Unless you are paying off to help you budget, why not take advantage of up to 50ish days interest free, and just set up a direct debit for the full amount?

yeah i would just rather pay it off straight away so i know where i am rather than having a direct debit for like £400 coming out at the end of the month, less painfull then but just need to know they wont cancel the cash back (which has been answered above while i was writing this :))

    Thanks mate,

Just applied and was accepted on a Halifax one with 1.0% on fuel and groceries and 0.5% on anything else with £2,000 Estimated Limit-what ever that means.
