Mobile broadband w/laptop bought 3 months ago

I purchased mobile broadband from Orange on a £35/month deal, whereby you get mobile broadband and a laptop. 3 weeks ago the adaptor for the laptop stopped working, therefore I cannot use the laptop or, of course, the broadband. I have spoke to HP who make the laptop and they have agreed to send a replacement, however I have now spent 3 weeks waiting and have nearly a month of no use, for which I am being charged £35. I phoned orange to find out about a redcution in the bill as I cannot use their services and they totally refused. They suggested seeing if HP could give a little money as a goodwill gesture. HP have call centres outside of the UK and it's hard to get my point across. Surely if I buy something through orange and it is faulty I shouldn't have to pay, or at least not the full amount, of when it is faulty. I've only had the laptop 3 months with almost a month of that now unusable. I was going to just replace the adaptor but the one I need is like, £90 odd at pc world. Help!

Why has it taken them three to send it out to you, or was there a delay in you contacting them?Gone ... or have I?0

Have you put anything into writing? Why are you dealing with HP when your contract is with the seller (?Orange)?Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

give up now
its not what you want to hear or what i went to tell you but yeh
your contract was for the mobile internet only
the laptop was a free "gift" as it were(assuming it was free)
this means that they can separate the two and just because the laptop broke it means the contract is still intact and you have to pay
Now, really you should have gone to the phone company for the original ac adaptor replacement as its there responsibility to honour warrenties no matter what.
now... what i suggest you do is write to the phone company for compensation for non usage of the laptop and therefore your mobile internet but this will be a long shot and any compensation given will be purly "good will" (more like guilty silencing payment but oh well)
so apart from that you have no hopeBack by no demand whatsoever.0
