Trouble importing last track of CD into itunes

Trying to upload a cd into itunes, and for some reason half way through the last track it starts stalling and seems to have problems reading the cd. Tried the cd on my hifi and it plays fine. Visually there are also no scratches (its a brand new cd). Any tips as to how I can sort this out? CD/DVD drive is only a month or so old so don't think its a problem there (have uploaded plenty of other cd's ok). If its struggling to read, maybe its because the drive is going too fast (20x +). Anyway of temporarily slowing it down to give it a better chance of reading the data?
