:mad:I purchased tickets for Oasis in Sunderland last October via this web site, I paid £142.64 for 2 tickets- I have just received an email stating that their supplier has let them down but as they dont bank in England cant give me a refund I need to recalim it back via my credit card compnay I apparantly have to ask them to perform a "chargeback" for goods not received!!!
What a SCAMMMMMMMMMMMMMM! never mind the horror of not having tikcets for a sold out gig but also not being refunded!
so I contacted them to complaim and guess what they send me the link to this site - telling me this site will help me get my money back
How are they alowed to sell goods not in their possession? they must make a fortune out of the interest on all these tickets. Tickets they are never likely to have
the bad thing is you cant leave feed back on the site but they are still trading on.
Can any one suggest how I make an offical complaint?
thanks Linda

You're not on your own for starters but if you had simply googled bookmetickets before ordering them, you would have seen the warning signals in neon. Personally, I'd never heard of them, but am aware of numerous scams and issues in the ticket selling business.
a) I'd report it to trading standards
b) If it was a VISA debit card, speak to your bank and request a chargeback.
c) If you did pay by credit card, speak to your credit card company stating they are refusing to refund youI actually feel sorry for credit card companies in this situation (a little).... As I understand it, credit card companies grant credit facilities to retailers at their discretion and this will be removed if abused. However, this sort of scam will reap much monies up front, the unscrupulous retailer then pockets the monies and runs, customers complain months later when the concerts are imminent, whereby the credit card company then acts to withdraw the credit facility but its too late - horse, door, bolted.
